SmartBatch 2.0

• there is a toggle to switch between SmartBatch 2.0 and the old version. It’s designed so that you can switch back and forth even within the same batch

• It’s just user interface that make it user friendly. It’s been rolled out in phases. v.25 the outright gifts, v26, they added more methods (crypto, planned gift)

• fields can be configured (the configuration can be locked down). we have sets of fields for each page layout “Cash,Check ACH,etc.”, Securities and Crytpo, “Pledge & Grant”

• there is a new mini view of what is the most recent appeal that account has received

• Designation can have alerts and it shows as “i” icon beside the designation.

• the renamed the “Bill” to “Send Reminder”

• files attachment is an icon now.

• smartbatch 2.0 will transfer custom field data into the target object. it has to be same API name and data type is compatible.

• files attachment can’t be edited, you need to attach a new version (download and reupload). we store our documentation in sharefile but we don’t use salesforce attachment because we can’t edit the file. We can build integration to upload files in bulk.

• Total fields are still being refined by AQ and Priscila will share the final specification of how the totals are calculated

foreign Currency gifts

• when we converted data, we just converted everything to totally anonymous, we have lost the data on partial anonymity

• how do we use the currency, at the moment we convert to AUD before we enter in smartwatch. But the pledge reminder is coming out as AUD and donor might be confused if they pledged in a different currency.

• we can leverage LL Currencies Table, to maintain the exchange rate

• we are seeing increasing amount of pledges in foreign currency. like on a weekly basis.

• there could be a difference between the pledge converted amount and the payment converted amount

VSE Category

• we haven’t used VSE Category

• there is VSE category in transaction when the gift was received

• we have our own report.

• other institutions are able to do reporting like what was they're giving like at the time when they were students as It's stamped on the transaction and not the gift itself. If they made pledge as student and then they make payments as alumni you are able to see that transition

• he Vsc constituent category that stamped on the transaction is of what the Vsconi constituent category is of the primary contact on the household.

AQ Inspector

• we used it during conversation but

• it broke a couple of releases back due to salesforce update

• on v26 it is back to working

• if you want to see how the Vsc. Constituent category is populating, it will be easier to just run an A/C inspector report and see that picklist value on the gift and pledge on the transaction object rather than doing it to salesforce reports

engagement scoring

• we haven't used this feature

• you can now build engagement scoring on custom objects

• something to consider

• we don’t always have the appeal linked in imodules form

• we don’t use Gift Compass either

• Gift Date and Gift Credited Date fields on Gift Correction Batch when adding new transaction

• we have an issue in adding the GRC on soft credit

Pledge and Payment in one batch

• AQ Issue on Gift Date when creating Pledge and Payment in one batch if using the Gift Date override

• particularly hard for EFT as the gift date is different than the date of transfer

• it doesnt allow you have different dates. EFT’s we want the date the funds hit the uni account not the date we process but smartbatch is not allowing us

Modification with 3 separate batches

• we have more and more scenarios where we needed to void payment, modify pledge, and reenter payment and different things get broken.
