Tokuyasu Cryosectioning

Tokuyasu cryosectioning is a method for cutting ultrathin sections of frozen tissue that has been lightly fixed and cryoprotected. The Tokuyasu technique is the most sensitive method for preparing cells and tissues for ultrastructural immunolabelling as it generally offers better exposure to epitopes than any other immunolabelling method.

The staff at the WRH Electron Microscope Facility can offer a full service from specimen preparation to digital imaging.
