Electron Tomography

Electron tomography allows the determination of spatial relationships of organelles at the ultrastructural level. It involves acquiring TEM images at a range of tilt angles and then projecting these images to generate a three dimensional data set. The regions of interest are segmented to produce a 3D model of the data.

Staff at the WRH Electron Microscope Facility can offer a full service from specimen preparation right through to a 3D model of the data.
