Auto Scale Clusters (AWS Parallel Cluster)

Ronin allows the use of the AWS Parallel Clusters, a neat platform which allows you to essentially create your own HPC/supercomputer! For details on how to set up a cluster set up a cluster see:

https://blog.ronin.cloud/create-cluster/

And to see how to use it effectively visit:

This is a really cool facility giving you instant access to huge resources (with a cost).

Observations about the Ronin configuration

I have noticed some combinations (of scheduler/nodes/spot market) do not seem to seem to work. So be sure to test your configuration with your workflow before leaving it running.

Only “/apps” and “/shared” are visible from the compute nodes, so any libraries, software, and data needed must be installed here.
