Training
Training Request on PPMS
For any training requests to access and use the facility equipment please submit a training request:

New user trainings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of the Month. Other types of training will be arranged within 2 weeks of training request submission.
Flow Analyser Training
This training is a charged 2 hours face-to-face session covering:
- Flow cytometry laboratory induction and safety
- Components and how a flow cytometer works
- Workflow to run an experiment focusing on BD FACSDiva software
It will grant you access to:
- BD FACS Canto II
- BD LSR II
- BD LSRFortessa

FACSymphony Training
This is a charged 30 min face-to-face training session.
To gain access to the FACSymphony, you will also need to complete the basic flow analyser training first.
Cytek Aurora Training
This is a charged 30 min face-to-face training session if you have already completed the basic flow analyser training.
GentleMACS Training
This is a charged 30 min face-to-face training session.Â
AutoMACS Training
This is a charged 30 min face-to-face training session.
Cytoflex Training
This is a charged 30 min face-to-face training session.
AriaIII Training
Cell sorting is normally provided as a service. However if you plan to perform cell sorting after hours, you can request to be trained on the AriaIII.
This is a charged 3 x 2 hours face-to-face training session covering:
- AriaIII instrument setup
- Principles of cell sorting
- Experimental setup to sort your target population
- Safety procedures during a sample clog
