Training Request

If you are a PhD student or researcher, please complete a training form on PPMS:

Once you submit your request, we will arrange a training session for you within 2 weeks.


Training for Honours Student

If you are an honours student, the cytometry laboratory induction & flow cytometry training session should be part of your course work.

You only need to complete the following two forms and submit to westemad.cytometry@sydney.org.au

Flow Analysers Training


This training is a charged 2 hours face-to-face session covering:

  • Flow cytometry laboratory induction and safety
  • Components and how a flow cytometer works
  • Workflow to run an experiment focusing on BD FACSDiva software


It will grant you access to:

  • BD FACS Canto II
  • BD LSR II
  • BD LSRFortessa

FACSymphony Training

To gain access to the FACS Symphony, you will need to complete the basic flow analyser training first.

GentleMACS & AutoMACS Training

Once training is completed, complete the following two forms and submit to westemad.cytometry@sydney.org.au


If you have already completed the flow analysis training, this training will be free.
